The ladies who work there are generally pretty nice and helpful. The store is huge and has a ton of fabric, patterns, and supplies.
Tried calling just to make sure I had the correct address in order to update public record information, woman that answered was very rude. She interrupted me several times, said she wasn't interested, and hung up. I don't feel that asking for your address is too much to ask for.
This is an addendum to my earlier posting. ... KUDDOS to the owner and staff for actually reading my post and calling me!! I have never had such a quick response to a posting comment, and I received a lovely apology. I understand that sometimes we get busy and are focused on our project at hand, so we don't notice or give attention to others. Never having been to this shop , I was at loss as to where anything was located. Therefore, if you've never been to this shop, announce it when u walk in and ask for help because there's some awesome fabrics, patterns, books, and notions around every corner! They have great selections of fabric styles and you gotta' love the Quiltmania stuff. Thanks for the phone call.
The people working there were somewhat aloof when I first arrived. No one greeted me to begin with and the shop is an interesting maze getting from room to room. Finally, I was asked if I needed help, and the lady asked where I was from. She did not seem impressed that I'd driven 4 1/2 hours to see the quiltmania fabrics, asking me again later where I was from. When I began to ask for fabric cuts, then I got help. Seriously people, you don't drive from SW Missouri just to look around. I asked about fabrics for last years quiltmania mystery Quilt and they had several bolts. I bought a few pieces and then the gal dug out the striped fabrics I'd had trouble getting. She charged me Full Price even though they were in pieces. This shop has the latest hot collections and many, many wonderful fabrics, books, patterns, threads and notions. They just need a class on making the shopper feel good about being there.
